Storyboard Text

  • Not at all. Death is what is what I want for you.
  • What do you want then? Surely you don't mean to banish me from Thebes.
  • Have you no sense, God help you, raising your voices in strife like this? Have you no sense of shame? The land is plague stricken and you pursue private quarrels.
  • Sister, your husband, Oedipus, claims the right to inflict dreadful punishments on me.
  • Exactly. Jocasta, I caught him in a treacherous plot against my life.
  • Oedipus and Creon are having a conflict. The conflict continues on back and fourth after Oedipus wishes for Creons death. Over a little time Jocasta enters from the door. pg.35-36
  • Listen to her, King Oedipus. Think over your decision, take her advice, I beg you.
  • Jocasta enters and stops the two from bickering and exclaims that the two of them have better things to worry about. pg.36
  • Do you know what you are asking?
  • Here, the two begin to start to disagree once more. Oedipus still thinks that Creon is against him. pg.37
  • [Exit Creon From door]
  • Here, Jocasta gets onto Oedipus and defends Creon to show that he is not in the wrong. Creon pleads Oedipus to consider it and take what Jocasta is saying into account. pg. 37
  • In God's name, Oedipus, believe what he says.
  • Here, Creon and Oedipus both finally settle and agree to disagree. Now that they have both agreed and are understanding each others sides, Creon gets ready to walk out of the palace.
  • Yes, I know.
  • Creon finally exits the palace and the entire conflict is now over. pg.39
