- The World State is a society where every aspect of life is conditioned in a hatchery and predetermined by castes.
- Babies are grown in a tube not born!
- Interesting!
- Bernard, John, Lenina and Helmholtz struggle to fit in with society despite having their own opinions.
- I will never be as handsome as Hemlotz.
- Will I ever be able to say what I truly think!
- Oh I am so conflicted!
- John and Mustapha Mond converse about the World State. Mond convinces John to stop his revolution and leave everything behind.
- I still don't understand.
- This way everything is better.
- Lenina and Bernard meet John and Linda at the Savage Reservation. They both convince him to go to the World State. John is eager to see the world state because his mother describes it as paradise.
- He looks like us!
- They look like me!
- Linda dies because of her addiction to “Soma” and John goes insane in the hallway of the hospital and attempts to form a revolution.
- I can't breathe!
- Linda! No!
- John isolates himself in an abandoned lighthouse but wanderers and reporters don’t leave him alone. He hangs himself.
