- It starts in Brian's house when all of the sudden he smells his mom cooking dinner and it has a very strong scent. His mom sent him on a plane while she is driving to visit some people.
- Climax
- When Brian get's onto the plane the pilot tells him he can come sit in the pilots seat. He tells Brian to start driving the plane and while Brian is driving the plane pilot has a heart attack and passes away.
- Falling action
- Brian get's really scared driving the plane by himself and he calls for help when he thinks there are people in the seats behind him, but nobody else is on the plane.
- Resolution
- Brian loses control of the plane and it goes for a head on crash into a lake. Brian is ok and he breaks out of an exit in the plane that he finds and swim's his way to shore with his hatchet still on hid belt.
- Brian builds a shelter and sleeps in there until he wakes up. Brian then goes and finds some berries when he comes across a bear who wants the berries he is eating. Brian is frightened but he stands still and the bear goes away. Later in the book he comes across wolves and a moose and a tornadoe hit brian and his shelter but he is still ok.
- After being stuck at the L shaped lake for over 2 months he finds a first aid kit. Brian then hears a airplane coming his way and a pilot wearing sun glasses sees Brian and stares at him and he can tell it is brian. Brian then got interviewed and saw his parents again and his parents where very happy to see him.
