  • A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

  • Hey guys, welcome back to our channel.
  • Today we'll be talking about empires in star wars
  • .
  • If anyone has seen or heard of star wars they would know just how bad empires can-
  • .

  • Okay sure but as we watched star wars, empires can be a massive, oppressive, and authoritarian regimes. People living in empires usually can never free themselves from it or get out and usually get their cultures fizzled out by the conquering empire. Like when the Western Roman Empire fell, the empires they conquered did not come back but instead just identified as Roman.

  • Yes, but not all rulers are bad. Cryus, unlike other kings, claimed to rule for the sake of the people. He wanted people to love him and feel lucky to be under his rule. He even promised the Jews that he would allow them to return to Judea and rebuild their temples and would give them money. He felt responsible for them.

  • Wait what.. Not all Empires are bad. Culture, goods, and ideas were able to spread more easily in a combined areas. Moreover, looking at history the British caused much harm, but also united India from warring kingdoms and tribes and created a national consciousness. They put the foundation for the Indian judicial system, administrative structure, and the railroad network.
  • Thank you guys for watching our channel, hope you learned just as much a we did!
  • See you in the next one!

  • Also many people in the world think that empires don’t work in the long term, and they exploit people. empires use ruthless tactics like wars, slavery, and genocide to establish themselves. Most empires were built on bloodshed. An example is the land of Numantia, a small town like many others hoping to expand. But in 134 BC Rome made sure that wouldn't happen, they sent there highest-ranked general and the man who destroyed Carthage to be a defensive wall. Blocking the Nomantians from the outside world. Leading them to starve and kill themselves.

  • And although you have a point, the Empire's visual elements, such as the iconic stormtrooper armor, the clean and symmetrical architecture of Imperial facilities, and the sleek and efficient design of their vehicles, all contribute to a sense of uniformity and control. These visual cues help reinforce the idea that the Empire is an organized and powerful force that can bring stability to a tumultuous galaxy.
