- Let us begin with microwave applications.
- Sure.
- Microwaves are most often seen in satellite communications, radar signals, phones, and navigation systems. Other applications for microwaves include medical treatments, drying materials, and food preparation in the home.
- Tell us more, please.
- Microwaves bounce around the chamber, cooking food via radiation heating (exciting molecules within an object) by becoming lodged in water, sugars, and fats. And stirring food, at least the food that can be stirred, helps to spread the heat, ensuring that the inside as well as the outside is cooked.
- DING!
- It smells like our lasagna is ready, and that's all for today about the microwave; I'll tell you more about it the next day, so come on, let's eat!
