- We have black fur due to one of our parents!!!
- We are normal because none of our parents have black fur!!
- Competition
- This is my territory!!!
- No!! This is my territory!!!!!
- Jaguars produce more offspring than can survive.
- Adaptation
- We can hunt better at night due to our black fur!!!
- Jaguars have differences among themselves. A few jaguars have black fur instead of yellow fur.
- Natural Selection
- Population of the jaguars have increased but the living space and food have decreased due to the increase of jaguars. Jaguars fight for living space and food.
- Speciation
- We are a new species called black jaguars because of the mutations we have!!!
- The mutated jaguars have better camouflage in the night. The bunnies cannot see black jaguars but can see the normal jaguars. The normal jaguars die from starvation.
- The environment selects organisms with better suited traits, like the black jaguar, to survive and reproduce and continue to pass the mutation.
- Over numerous years many favorable mutations occurred and may have resulted in a new species.
