  • I wonder how San Andreas Fault formed Mountains.
  • Good morning students, we are now in our first destination of our field trip- San Andreas Fault. We are currently standing on the San Andreas Fault line.
  • Wow! So this is San Andreas Fault. Amazing!!
  • I knew that this would happen. I read many books just to justify this one and releasing my benefit of doubt.
  • Wow! So that's explains why there#160;are#160;mountains.
  • I agree! I wonder why how does mountains formed. So that's explains. Now I know.#160;
  • This is another example of convergent boundaries. Two continental plates pushed each other up. The plates then formed the mountains.
  • #160;Mrs. Smith said as the earth stared to shake The tectonic plates that are scraping up together are called transform boundaries. These plates cause the earthquake that is happening right now! Mrs. Smith additionally#160;explained to her students while viewing the Himalayan Mountain.
  • As they finished their sight seeing at San Andreas Fault, their next destination was Himalayan Mountain.
  • I wonder if there is another term for divergent. Hmm?? Is it convergent?
  • Our next destination is underwater volcano. The ocean has tectonic plates too. Sometimes, they spread apart and form volcanoes. These are called divergent plates.
  • Mrs. Smith explained further how does Mountains formed. The students were#160;very lucky to have this kind of field trip.
  • I am very impressed about what I have learned today.
  • That's true. There are many hidden islands submerge under the water.
  • Here, one oceanic and continental plate converge. The oceanic one sinks under the continental one. This process is called subduction.
  • After they have done searching for answers on how Himalayan Mountain formed. Their next destination was underwater volcano and how does it affects during Earthquake.
  • As they've reached their destination, Mrs. Smith further explained how divergent plates move from one another in the ocean. The students exchange ideas to connect their new learnings. Their last destination for this field trip was PAcific Coast.
  • Yes! It is convergent. Opposite direction to divergent.
  • I will take note of that. Divergent plates.
  • Their last destination was PAcific Coast. Mrs. Smith explained about subduction where oceanic#160;sinks and continental one rise or vise versa. The students were very glad that field trip was successfully done. After their long conversation together with their teacher, they went back home.
  • Subduction? Hmm?? Now I wonder also why there are islands submerged in the ocean.
