Storyboard Text

  • Hey, do you know about cells and cell organelles?
  • No, but it sounds interesting please tell me.
  • Cell is the smallest structural and functional unit of life. The cell contains different functional structures which are collectively called organelles, and are involved in different cellular functions
  • Hmmm! Interesting, can you give some examples with explanation?
  • Sure, why not, some examples are mitochondria, Golgi apparatus and nucleus. Mitochondria producesenergy rich molecules for the cell, it is also known as the powerhouse of the cell. Golgi apparatus primarily responsible for transporting, modifying, and packaging proteins and lipids to targeted destinations. The nucleus is a double-membraned organelle found in all eukaryotic cells. It is the largest organelle, which functions as the control centre of the cellular activities and is the storehouse of the cell’s DNA.
  • Thanks for telling me about this. I got to know a lot about cell and cell organelles.
