- The Chinese solution
- John Macartney went to chin to ask for trade but the Chinese said no to the offer of trading because the British didn't kowtow and they gave a bunch of silly gifts and the Chinese thought they didn't need any of Britain's items
- The british trade offering
- the British take over
- instead of trading, the English smuggled in an illegal Chinese drug called opium to drug smugglers and got tea back.

- Britain's rebellion
- The Chinese decided to dump all of the opium into the ocean and the British were furious so they launched an attack on china but the Emporer just ignored it
- no not my opium
- The Chinese Emporer said to wait until he was ready for a peace treaty Britain waited a long time and the Chinese said nothing so the British started a war and captured Canton. The British said they would not stop until the Chinese agreed to their demands.
- The end of the war
- England then continued their raid and in 1842 captured Chinkiang which meant china wasn't able to ship food so china had to surrender and gave England trade in china a boatload of money and hong kong.
