Grendel's attack on Heorot

- Our story begins in the land of Danes where king Hrothgar, descended from a great line of kings but was faced with a serious problem.
- There was a horrendous monster attacking the famous Herot hall, Grendel, the evil monster, came every night killing seeking to eat warriors .
- The announcement of Grendel came to notice which reached different lands in addition tog the land of the Geats. There was a courageous, muscular and faithful man named Beowulf. He took his foremost 14 men and sailed to Denmark.
- Beowulf threw the door open and was surprised to discover that it was full of sleeping soldiers but Beowulf was open-eyed waiting for the moment Grendel came.
- Beowulf watched as Grendel snatched the first sleeping Geat he saw ready to eat. Grendel ripped his body apart and then swallowed him within seconds.
- Once Grendel picked up Beowulf, Grendel struggled and yet wanted nothing but to run away from Beowulf yet Beowulf kept holding him tight and wouldn't let go. The hall was trembling and shaking but was able to with stand the battle
