- In the beginning... there was darkness.
- Out of the darkness, 2 beings are born. Kumulipo (m) and Po'ele (f)
- Like the animals that live on the ocean floor.
- Together they created the creatures of total darkness
- They then gave birth to 2 more beings, and those beings created the creatures of almost-darkness. Like the planets and moons.

- These creatures had offspring, and with every new life, the darkness of this world got a little brighter

- And finally our known world was created
