  • What is wellness and why does it impact my fitness? Wellness is the overall well being of YOU! It affects your body mind and relationships with others. There are three types of wellness physical, mental, and social. You must learn to balance out your life by improving these three parts of wellness. Physical wellness is how you take care of your body. Mental is how you take care of your mind and Social is how you interact with others. These can all lead you to a happy, healthier life. How can you help me manage my stress? People manage stress many different ways. Some have defense mechanisms to escape the stress. Some of those mechanisms are denial, rationalization, and projection. Those are a few but these are all physiological responses to stress to try again protect the brain and body. Another way people manage their stress is stress eating. That is overeating or undereating based on someone's stress level and emotions. Some ways to healthily manage your stress are setting goals for yourself. Using positive self talk, being open minded, taking responsibility for actions, focus on your strengths, and recognising your unique traits. These are a few but you can research and try out to find what works for you. Stress can be overwhelming but there are things to help.
