When the two brothers, Romulus and Remus, were at a very young age, they were vanquished to the Tiber River to die. However, they were both saved by a wolf.
After some time passed, Romulus and Remus were then adopted by a shepherd named Faustulus. They would grow up, unaware of their true identities for some time.
Tensions began to rise between the two brothers and the city they lived in. As result, they went off to build their own city.
The two brothers came upon a disagreement of which of the seven hills to build on. Due to this conflict and still-rising tension, Romulus killed Remus as a result.
After the death of Remus, Romulus went on to found all of Rome. He founded the government, military, religion, etc.
Upon founding Rome, Romulus became the first ever Roman king. He ruled for many years to come.
