- ok everybody the first reading of the joe mama act: all Canadian citizens named Joe must have a last name of mama making their full name Joe Mama
- Second reading: here members of parliament debate the pros and cons of the law
- It would be funny thoughand I'm all for funny
- most peoples last names have been around for decades even century's this law will destroy those last names
- this law can't pass it will destroy peoples original heritage and meaning in their last name
- perfect lets send it on to the third reading
- committee: A committee of members from opposite parties Study detail's of the law The committee changes and improves it
- The royal assent is the final step of a passing a bill into law The royal assent is where the queen signs off on the bill making it law for Canada
- lets make it so this law only applies to people with last names that have existed for less than 15 years.
- this law will erase ancient last names that are important to people
- the changed bill is read and MPs vote on it. If their isnt enough votes the bill does not pass
- ok we've counted the votes and majority voted yes the bill is moving onto senate
- The senate is made of senators from each province.Senate is where the bill is read again and can be changed and sent for another third reading or the bill is passed onto the royal assent.
- ok nobody wants to make a change lets pass this bill onto royal assent
- I signed this bill it is now law that any Canadian citizen whose last name has existed for less than 15 years and is named joe, their last name is now "mama" making there full name Joe Mama!
