  • Hi Everyone Today I am going to talk about the landforms in South America
  • South America is the longest of all the worlds continents to run in a north to south direction . It is also the only continent that crosses both the equator at 0 degrees and reaches a subarctic zone at Tierra del Fuego at its southernmost point
  • One of the longest rivers in the world is the Amazon river . the Amazon river is known as the lungs of the earth . Amazon is a major source of the exchange of carbon dioxide for oxygen . the Amazon region has the most biodiversity of any region in the world .
  • The Andes mountain or andean mountains are the longest continental mountain range in the world forming a continuous highland along the western edge of South America . . the andes extend from north to south through seven South American countries . They are Venezuela , Colombia , Ecuador , Peru , Bolivia , Chile and Argentina .
  • This is the Andes mountain
  • South American coastal plains are found on the northeastern coast of Brazil, on the Atlantic Ocean, and the western, Pacific coast of Peru and Chile. The coastal plains of northeastern Brazil are extremely dry.
