- We will have a good feasting tonight....
- Slay the buffalo with your spears!
- Rodger that!
- Are you guys done yet? We need to be on the move again soon.
- It's just how things have to be. There doesn't seem to be many animals here so we need to go find a place that does. Would you rather starve instead?
- But we just moved to stay here yesterday! Why are we on the move again?
- So you women will gather while we men hunt.
- Sounds like a fair deal to me.
- During the Paleolithic era, people were hunter gatherers who constantly searched for animals to kill. They usually hunted in small groups of men and used weapons such as bows or spears to help them out. They hunted animals such as buffalo, bison, reindeers, etc.
- It's going well! Sometimes a lot more food piles up than usual.
- So how's taking care of the animals and crops going?
- People during the Paleolithic era were nomads who were constantly on the move searching for food. They usually built quick shelters and used fires to survive. If they weren't constantly on the move, they wouldn't be able to get food in time.
- Tell me about it....
- It feels so nice to finally live in a settled community. I remember when we used to have to constantly be on the move.
- Men and women were equal during this time and had no division separating them. The men would hunt and the women would gather.

- As time went by, the Neolithic Revolution would occur and there would be a major turning point in history. People would start to domesticate plants and animals and surpluses would start to rise. Many farmers would grow crops such as wheat that would be used in many foods.
- A permanent settled community would be established, which would officially bring around the start of civilization. People no longer had to worry about constantly being on the move as they could finally raise and grow their own food to eat. Some families raised a surplus to feed themselves.
- Because of the way things were, social classes would start to evolve and people would become divided as they started to specialize in different jobs. Technology would come into play this way as tools got better and better.
