- Welcome to Mesopotamia! The two rivers that hepled us become a succesful civilization are the Tigris and Euprhates river. The modern day continent it is on is Asia. The modern day country that it is on is Iraq.
- The foothills that we moved to first were the Zagros Foothills. But then the problem arose. The lack of space in the area became a problem because there was less space to grow food which meant that there wasn't enough food to feed the increasing population. Then after we realized that the Zagro Foothills wouldn't work for our people we moved to the flat plains near the Tigris and Euprhates rivers.
- Although a problem occured eventually with the rivers. The problem that occured was that they had an uncontrolled water supply. Even though they had issues they came up with solutions to the problem, one of the solutions is that they built levees along the sides of the rivers to prevent the flooding. Another way that they tried to prevent the flooding was that they dug canals to make the water go a certain direction instead of just going wherever it wanted.
- The irrigation systems got clogged from silt so they had to be cleaned regularly so that it didn;t get clogged up and ruin the whole entire irrigation system. Something that developed because of the good communication and them working together so well is city states.
- Although as the cities grew and grew the people started to fight over things. The main thing that people fought over was water. People wanted to use more and more water and it became an issue.
- Although they did fight from time to time they finally learned a system that would work. Their small village turned into a large walled city state. They dug moats around the walls so that people couldn't get in. They had also made their complete irrigation system which meant that they had to learn to cooperate with one another. Which they did learn to do. That's how they rised into aregion of human advancement.
