Storyboard Text
- In the beginning, there is nothing but an ocean that occupied space for as far as anyone can see, and far above was the sky world.Far above this unpeopled world, there was a sky world. Here lived gods who were like people-like Iroquois.
- In the sky world there is a man and wife and they were expecting a child. the enormous tree was sacred and the wife wanted to get bark from on of the roots so her husband did it for her. But he broke a hole through the sky world. He was terrified, for he had never expected to find an empty space underneath the world
- The woman fell through the whole and the turtle broke her fall. She told the animals to help her to find soil so she could grow plants and later the earth began to grow and had her baby . The earth began to grow
- The woman's daughter grew and got pregnant herself and eventually had two twins who would constantly fight with each other in the womb. there could be no peace between them.
- but the conflict of the twins did not end at the grave of their mother.
- When she had the twins on of them killed her during labor and plants in which people use like corn grew from her grave. when the twins met in the outside world it was non stop quarreling and the grandmother had to take care of them. The twins had creative powers. They became the example of two kinds of different people in this world.
- and they knew that the conflict was becoming sharper and sharper and one of them would have to vanquish the other.
- The twins made a balanced world and one would make an animal for example and the other would make its opponent and the fighting was just getting more and more intense. So, They dueled it out and the right handed twin won and the grandma was upset with him and let led to her death as well. so now the world below lives the left handed twin and through day time rituals they honor the right handed twin.
