- I'm fine. I didn't expect to see you here.
- You know how I love making various different perfumes. Well the other day my colleague suggested adding benzaldehydeto my perfumes
- Why was that so?
- You see Benzaldehyde contains an aldehyde functional group which are known for their strong smell and Benzaldehyde is the simplest aromatic aldehyde.
- Whoa! That's so interesting. Can you tell me more.
- Benzaldehyde is usually this colourless liquid with a characteristic almond odor which is commonly in scented products to confer a almond scent
- That was very enlightening for me!
- FUN FACT: Benzaldehyde is also naturally found in bitter almond and somtimes used in cosmetic products as well
- So thats why my cosmetics smell like almonds
