- The expansion and spread of Islam started in Mecca when the Prophet Muhammad started spreading messages he got from Allah and he started getting followers
- Muhammad, you and your followers should no longer be here!
- Him and his followers were treated terribly and needed to escape
- Oh no :(
- They maintained to escape and eventually they found a place called Medina and developed there.
- Ahhhh here fellas...Medina!
- After some conflict they were able to return to Mecca in the year 630 and it became the center of Islam. It also was soon established that Muhammad conquered Mecca and eventually, many converted to Islam.
- Sadly, Muhammad had eventually died.
- After Muhammad’s death the teachings of Islam spread rapidly to many people and places in the Middle East. Islam had gotten more and more popular and had many followers. This, the expansion of Islam, was a turning point of Islam.
