- I was around during the age of Oil, Cattle, and Railroads. Oil was discovered at a salt dome south of Ohio. The well produced 100,000 barrels a day. This event started the age of oil for the state of texas
- I was around during the era of WWII. This is when America was experiencing economic downfall due to the great depression. In addition we were also attacked by the japanese, and made to participate in WWII
- I was around during the Civil Rights and Conservatism era. In this era, the population had grown dramatically after WWII, This was also when the civil rights movement began to gain traction, and there was a call for racial desegregation.
- I was around during The Civil War era. This was when slave-holding states were afraid they would lose the right to own slaves, so they seceded from the union. Texas joined them in 1861 just a few years before they surrendered in 1865
- I was around during the Texas Independence era. This is where the Texans revolted against the Mexicans, and won their independence. The Texans were led by Sam houston, and the Mexicans were led by Santa Ana
