- No one knows who the first king of Rome was, but we do know that the first people who lived there were Latin, and they built the village that would become Rome on Palatine, a hill near the Tiber River.

- Eventually, Rome became a flourishing kingdom that took inspiration from two other cultures: Greek and Etruscan
- The Etruscans came from the North and the Greeks came from their colonies in Sicily to dock in Rome, and they would share their culture and ideas to the Romans
- The Etruscan and Greek culture eventually latched onto Roman culture, and it began to use Greek and Etruscan ideas in things, for example, architecture.
