Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • I had to leave school when I was thirteen...thats that's a year younger than you!
  • Rising actions
  • You ain't one of them bad boys looking for my treausre. Because I told you I got me a rozor.
  • This is where I am staying...What are you here for?
  • Ain't you got no home!
  • Im not looking for your treasure!
  • I got a home

  • I used to make money for my wife and Jesse-thats my boy... Anyway he went off to the war and when I came back home and got a letter that he had been killed in the war it broke my heart... it truly did.
  • They sent back what he had with him and this was his. So that is my treasure..ain't that something!
  • Greg sits on the stoop of his building, the rain pounding down besides him, as he looks down at the note his principle gave him, about how bad he is doing in math. He stands in his kitchen listening to his father lecture him about it. Greg decides to leave and explore the city even though theres a big storm. Greg sees an old apartment, an abandoned one that no onehas been seen in Greg enters the apartment and walks around the dark room.
  • Falling actions
  • As Greg continues to walk into the room he hears noises. Screeeeeech. He started to listen carefully but it was gone. He looks around as he hears the loud thunder through the window. As he looked up he saw an old dirty man standing, Lemon Brown. As they start to talk , Lemon and Greg hear a noise outside and when they go to look they see three me, the neighborhood thugs, sitting on the stoop outside.
  • resolution
  • After the thugs come up to Lemons room and bang on his door asking for his treasure, they get into a fight. Greg wonders about the treasure they are talking about. Eventually the thugs leave Lemon and Greg alone and Lemon and Greg continue their conversation. Lemon asks Greg if he wants to se his treasure. He unwraps some yellow newspaper and reveals a battered harmonica. Lemon explains how the harmonica belonged to his son who sadly passed due to the war.
  • Conflict/Theme
  • Once Lemon showed Greg his treasure, the rain had stopped which left puddles everywhere. Lemon looked out the window and noticed the thugs were gone. Lemon sent Greg home before it got too late. They said their goodbyes and Greg headed home.
  • You go on and get yourself home. I'll be watching you through the window so you will be okay
  • Greg walked home thinking about Lemon and what he was going to tell his dad. He would think about the lecture and how he disobeyed him. He didn't even want to know how late it was. But, surprisingly when he thought about the lecture he knew his dad would have with him, he smiled.
  • He sits in front of his building once again thinking about his gratitude towards his father. Lamon Brown made Greg less angry at his father and more angry at himself. He sits there thinking about his father and he accepted his fate.
