  • Napoleon makes his announcements
  • There will be work on sundays afternoon as well.
  • Boxer, the best worker
  • I will work harder
  • be careful
  • The animal must engage in trade with humans
  • Four legs good, two legs bad
  • Here is Mr. Whymper, a human who'll help us
  • Don't be mad, we already made all the arrangments
  • After Snowball left the farm, Napoleon decided to build the windmill and told the animals to work more and more and the only one who would not work would have his rations reduced by half. It was a threat who would not make the animals forget to work. The windmill presented unexpected difficulties
  • The animals don't understand
  • The resolution against engaging in trade had never been passed, or suggested
  • He must lie
  • For the windmill, the animals didn't know how to break stone into pieces of suitable pieces. They used the force of gravity to gather the pieces of stone. Boxer's strenght seemed equal to all the others and he carried to build the windmill. He was admirated. Clover warned him sometimes to be careful but Boxer didn't matter and only thought about his 2 slogans: "i will work harder" and "Napoleon is always right"
  • the fourth commandment changed
  • But came the moment that animals needed some materials urgently, and had to engage in some trade with human beings, announced Napoleon a sunday morning. The animals didn't know what to say and some animals even tried to raise their voices, but they were promptly silenced by a tremendous growling from the 9 dogs. Mr Whymper was the intermediary between Animal farm and the outside world.
  • the windmill is destroyed
  • That's sad :(
  • Snowball must DIE
  • After that episode, Squealer assured to the farm that the resolution against engaging in trade and using money had never been passed. He said that it was probably some lies circulated by Snowball. Some animals were doubtful but because of the fact that it wasn't written, they trusted him and didn't pay attention anymore.
  • The pigs suddenly moved, a night, into the farmhouse and took up their residence there. The animals were again sure that an agreement had been passed against that but Squealer against convinced the animals of the contrary. So Clover tried to find the seven commandments but she wasn't able to read so she asked to Muriel and she told her that the fourth commandment said "No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets". Again she was doubtful, and again she trusted it because it was written.
  • No animal shall sleep in a bed, with sheets
  • Read me 4th commandment
  • No animal shall sleep in a bed, with sheets
  • Finally, november came, and the windmill was destroyed because the gale was too violent. The animals could only see the windmill in ruins when they woke up. Napoleon tried to find a culprit, and told the animals that Snowball was, that he was also a traitor, and that he had to die, so the death sentence was prounouced upon Snowball. The windmill was a great machine which helped the animals to work, but it was now destroyed.
