- This population of seals has a variation of brown and white blubber.
- The seals natural predator, the polar bear, can easily see the seals with brown blubber and hunts the brown seals.
- After the polar bear hunted most of the brown seals, the only seals left are mostly the ones with white blubber.
- As the seals reproduce, there become more and more white seals.
- When the polar bear comes back to hunt the seals again, he will not be able to find as many seals.
- The reason for this would be that the majority of the seal population has the favorable trait of the 2 traits that are available.
