  • Working Conditions of Farmers
  • The Tsar is increasing tax prices even more!
  • How can they do that?! We haven't eaten a proper meal in weeks!
  • Tsar Reforms

  • Just because we can say whatever we want doesn't mean you'll listen. We want more!
  • Bloody Sunday and the Revolution of 1905

  • During this time, farmers made up 80% of the population in Russia and they were being taxed very high amounts by the Absolute Monarchy so that the Monarch could afford to live their lavish lifestyle. This caused famine, hunger, and poverty for many farmers and family's in Russia.
  • World War I
  • The Tsar saw that people were not happy and that things in Russia needed to change. In response to this, he brought about policies such as freedom of expression and gave people slightly more rights but the Tsar still maintained authoritative power.
  • 1917 Revolution
  • 150,000 workers signed a petition asking the Tsar for change and marched to his catsle to deliver it to him. The russian soilders assumed threat and shot and killed 200 innocent people. This event caused a short revolution of protests and strikes agaisnt the Monarch because bloody sunday undeniably proved that the Moarach did not have the peoples best intrest at heart.
  • Vladimir Lenin and the Bolshevik Red Army
  • We have won the war, now we must follow through with our promises and make Russia a communist country.
  • In 1914, Russia entered World War I which put more strain on the already fragile society and economy in Russia. As the war progessed and things in Russia continued to get worse, the citizens and soilders had had enough and began city wide protests. So, the events of World War I made it so that a Russian revolution was inevitable.
  • We can't take anymore hardships. I've had enough, we need a revolution!

  • The revolution promited by the war forced Tsar Nicholas II to step down from power. During this time, there was a civil war in Russia which the communist Bolshevik party won, establishing Vladimire Lenin and the communist party as the new governmnet power in Russia. So the first revolution abolished the moarchy and the second revolution established the new governmnet in Russia.
  • Abolish The Monarchy!! We want Equality!
  • After Lenin and the Bolshevik party won the civil war, there was a very fast transer to a communist system in Russia. Lenin soon realized that this system was not working as he had planned so he brought about a New Economic Policy (NEP) which incorpourated some forms of capitalism, but the party was still majourly communist.
