  • Self Confidence is very important.
  • Self perception is a personal opinion on your qualities as a person. Body image can affect your lifestyle in a negative or positive way. It can lead to many health problems or boost your confidence.
  • Research
  • People with positive body image accept the way they look and generally do not pay attention to how their bodies may be viewed by other people. People with positive body image also often feel good physically as well as mentally.(Body Image) This information supports my thesis because it shows that people with a positive body image feel good about themselves and have a high confidence level.
  • Negative body image, also referred to as body dissatisfaction, makes people feel bad about the way they look.This can then lead to different types of eating disorders. Researchers are not sure what causes eating disorders, but family relationships, genetics, psychological factors, and distorted body image appear to be contributing factors.(Eating Disorders) This information from the article supports my thesis because it shows that a negative body image can lead to eating disorders and other health problems.
