- Claudette Colvin grew up during segregation blacks and whites were kept separate, and some were not allowed to go in the same places as others. And also got treated differently because of there Skin. And this is the World were she grew up in.

- Claudette Colvin refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a bus while heading Home from school. The Bus Driver told her mutiple times to give her seat to the lady because the law said that Blacks stand but if room sit and if no room for whites then give your seat to them.

- After that, Colvin was Willing to get arrested, and she was arrested for not giving up her seat to the Passanger. She didn't care, she just wanted to show what was not right.

- After a While... Colvin went to Court and Said that the Busses shouldn't be Segregated, and Told them things that were not right! Even the other people in the Court said things likeWe want equal Rights!, No Jim Crow Laws, and other things like this. The Judges were confused and Decided that...

- NO JIM CROW LAWS!!
- We WANT EQUAL RIGHTS!!
- Bus segregation Did END!!! Now, People can sit anywhere they want on the bus, and Hopefully have No Problems... This is why you stand up for what you think is right because you don't know what could happen. it could have a GOOD outcome!!!! And Claudette Colvin Had her Son.
