- Where do I start my journey?
- I'm Derrick, and I'm going to teach you more about your journey and the rock cycle.
- Glad you asked. You are currently a sedimentary rock. You were formed when lots of sediments came together and were compacted and cemented.
- But because of the rock cycle, you can keep changing what kind of rock you are forever!
- Weathering causes rocks to break apart, and turn into sediments.
- These sediments then go through erosion, which means moving. The sediments end up being deposited, or dropped of, and end up forming rocks like you.
