- 5.Nazi Parachutes Attack America and Get Shot Down over the Flint River by Captain Byron Watson and His Flamethrower of Death.
- 7. Every Chihuahua in America Lines Up to Take a Bite Out of Byron
- As the Watsons get ready to leave their house, Byron gets his lips stuck to the freezing car window. None of the Watsons know how to help him so Momma decides to rip his lips from the window. Kenny takes advantage of the situation and makes fun of Bryon’s lips.
- 10.Tangled Up in God's Beard
- Byron is making a movie where he lights matches, burns Nazi parachute soldiers and throws them in the toilet. Momma threatens to teach Byron a lesson by burning his fingers. Joey decides to repeatedly blow the matches out so Byron won’t get hurt.
- 12. That Dog Won't Hunt No More
- Byron thinks the family is getting free food (welfare food) from Mr. Mitchell so he gets 2 bags of cookies. Kenny catches Byron eating the cookies and apples. Byron throws the cookies at a pigeon eventually killing it. Byron feels so guilty for hurting the bird he throws up.

- Dad decided he could drive straight from Michigan to Alabama with only shortstops. Mom gets angry because they have to stop in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains at night. As the family gets back in the car and continues to drive, Dad tells them to stick their hands out the window because the fog feels like they are tickling “God’s beard”.
- Mr. Robert is telling Dad, Byron, and Kenny about how he once saved Toddy from drowning. Grandma Sands is telling Momma how everything in Birmingham is changing, including Grandma getting a boyfriend.
- Grandma Sands warns the kids about going to Collier’s Landing because they may drown in the “wool pooh”. Byron tried to keep Kenny safe and away from the water. Kenny also saw several signs warning him to stay away. Kenny tries to catch a fish and a turtle, but he ends up almost drowning. As he’s drowning, Kenny sees Joey as an angel. Byron saves Kenny for the Wool Pooh.
