  • Newton's First Law of Motion- The Law of Inertia: An object at rest remains at rest and an object in motion remains in motion at a constant speed and in a straight line unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.Explanation: According to the law of inertia, when the man threw the ball up in the sky It should have fly forever in the direction the man threw it unless acted upon an external force which is the backboard and Earths gravity.
  • Newton's Second Law of Motion- The Law of Force: The acceleration of an object depends on the mass of the object and the amount of force applied.Explanation: The two forklift is being accelerated by the same amount of force, but have different masses. One of the forklift is carrying a heavy box(greater mass) while the other is carrying a lighter box(lesser mass), and since acceleration is inversely proportional to mass, the greater mass has lesser acceleration why the lesser mass has greater acceleration.
  • Newton's Third Law of Motion- The Law of Action/Reaction: Whenever one object exerts a force on a second object, the second object exerts an equal and opposite force on the first.Explanation: While Earths gravitational force pulls down on the apple, the apple pulls the earth up with the same force, but since acceleration is inversely proportional to mass, the Earth would successfully pull the down the apple but the apple wouldn't even make a change in earths state of motion.
