  • Hello, I'm Alaina. I will be sharing why I believe flexible seating should be aloud in classrooms.
  • Nice to meet you Alaina, I'm Jonah and I will be discussing why I believe flexible seating should not be aloud in classrooms.
  • Flexible seating should be aloud in classrooms because it allows students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain.
  • While that is a good point, flexible seating causes classroom problems. Kids will begin to argue over which seating they get if someone else got to the one they wanted first.
  • I disagree, although students may not get the seating they want there are plenty of other choices to enjoy. Also, as stated in 'CLUTTER-FREE CLASSROOM', "It sets the stage for collaboration and real world simulation." This shows that flexible seating helps with collaboration and benefits students to work together while being comfortable. This is why flexible seating should be allowed in classrooms.
  • I see where you are going with this, but flexible seating options are usually low to the floor, meaning that someone could easily trip over the seating and fall which would end up in in injury. For example, 'CLUTTER-FREE CLASSROOM' also states "When I first started teaching my teaching partner removed the legs from a classroom table so it was close to the floor...the teacher tripped over the table and broke her shoulder. This shows how flexible seating arrangements are bad for classrooms.
