A Sloths Journey

- Hi! I am a sloth from the tropical rainforest named Sam. I am gonna take you through a journey of my biome and the different organisms in it. There is a lot of competition for resources and food so I have to be very careful.
- For more about me, I am an indicator species for microorganisms. Without me, there would not be homes for these microorganisms in the rainforest. I also like to eat leaves.
- I am a herbivore. I still have to hide from predation, however, because the carnivore jaguar is a preadator and I do not want to be the prey.
- At least I have my friend Tim the Toucan to keep me company. He is what's known as an omnivore or something that eats plants and animals.
- I used camouflage to hide from the jaguar. I have a mutualistic relationship with algae that helps me blend in while giving it a home. We have a symbiotic relationship
- Oh no! There is a parasite. The parasite wants me to be its host or the body it stays in which is known as parasitism. It is far away, so I'll be able to get away. Thank you for taking this journey with me
