During WW2 Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis in a hidden room behind her dads business in the Netherlands.
While her family were hiding Anne wrote stories in a diary. They hid in the small room for 2 years.
Anne and her family where caught when the Nazis raided there hiding place. They were sent on cattle trains to Auschwitz a concentration camp. Anne, her mum and sister were separated from their dad.
One of there family friends saved her diaries for if she ever came back
Sadly, Anne and her sister got sick at the camp and died in 1945.
After the war was over her dad Otto went to see the person with the dairies
Because Anne wanted to be a writer her dad had the book published and it is now very famous and was converted into 70 different languages, movies and plays.
