  • Shack is what he calls me as his lame way of making fun of the fact that my name is Castle!
  • Castle, nickname Ghost, introduces himself. He stays with his mom in Glass Manor, a poor neighborhood. His dad is in jail for trying to kill Ghost and his mom. He had to run away and hideout at Mr. Charles's store.  He ran the fastest then. 
  • Climax
  • Welcome to Everything Sports
  • Castle tries out for a track team. There, Coach identified his talent and suggested he join the team. Initially, it was to improve his basketball skills, but as the book continues Ghost wants to run because he is truly good at it. But, his past is slowing him down. He is trying to run away from his past, unfortunately he isn't that fast.
  • Falling Action
  • Running helped me come through, I imagined it would help you too. Ghost, you can't runaway form who you are, but you can run towards who you want to be. 
  • Ghost was only allowed on the track team if he doesn’t get into any trouble at school. Which he struggled with. Ghost was trying his best to not get an altercation or get in trouble, but alas he gets an altercation for fighting with a kid called, Brandon. But, coach forgave him and didn’t tell his mom or got him out of track.
  • Resolution
  • Castle ain't no joke... you are!!
  • Ghost is always made fun of at school. One day, he decided to skip school, steal a pair of shoes from a sports store, and then even lied to everyone about it. Even though, he knew what the potential consequences of this crime might be!
  • On uniform day, Coach gave Ghost a piece of paper with Ghost’s picture on it and underneath it said SHOPLIFTER. Then, Coach takes Ghost to the store, and makes him apologize to the clerk personally. Afterwards, Coach punishes him and tells him clean his cab. Meanwhile, he tells ghost his story. This is when the is theme developed.
  • Race day finally arrives. The race is about to begin when Ghost notices that his mom and coach are very happy and  proud of him. Hence why, he decides to pursue his talent to see them happy. Then the race begins...1...2...3... BOOM!
  • So proud of you!! GHOST!
