Oedipus: The Teen Drama

- One year before Oedipus became student body President, a horrible crime was committed against principal Laius. Before morning announcements one day, an unknown person placed a whoopee cushion on his seat. The sound when he sat down was broadcasted to every loudspeaker and though he protested his innocence, everybody believed the sound of the cushion came from him. Laius never lived the indedant down. 
- At Thebes Senior High School, a plague has descended upon the students and staff. Cases of the school lunches causing  food poisoning have risen,  and it has taken a serious toll on the school. Student body president Oedipus has no clue on how to fix the situation, though his people looked to him for strength in the trying times. His Vice President, Laius, decided to speak to Tiresias, a tarot reader. He predicted that in order to stop the illnesses, they would have to find the person who pranked Principal Laius. 
- Oedipus decided to get answers from Tiresias on his own, but Tiresias refused to answer his questions. "So you know who pranked Laius, but you won't tell me? You're horrible!""You know what? I didn't want to tell you, but you caused Laius to get pranked. Also, your girlfriend will break up with you."Oedipus denied these claims, but they still stuck with him. 
- When Jocasta, Oedipus's girlfriend saw how paranoid and angry at Creon he had become, she tried to comfort him. "Don't listen to Tiresias! He's crazy. In elementary school, he told me my boyfriend would embarrass himself by trying to become a class clown. And that never happened, did it?"But, Oedipus did in fact try to become a class clown last year. Once, he even brought a whoopee cushion to school, but someone stole it before he could prank anyone.  That same week, Laius was pranked.
- When Oedipus realized what this meant, he confessed everything to Jocasta. Jocasta was horrified, and immediately told Principle Laius. She couldn't handle the embarrassment of Oedipus's actions, and decided to move schools.When Oedipus found out her plan, he ran to the principal's office to try and stop her, but it was too late.
- Laius was furious at Oedipus, even though he did not pull the prank. He forced Oedipus to resign as President, which automatically  made Creon his replacement. Oedipus was forced to submit to Creon, and because he couldn't handle what he had done, he decided to cope with the pain by dying his hair.  The End
