- Ladies and Gentle men I am here with the real Vasco da Gama.
- Thank you for the introduction. I honestly can't believe people remember me to this day.
- You laid the basis for the connection between Europe and Asia. Can you tell us about you travels.
- Vasco da Gama becomes one of the most famous people on earth because of his golden image as an explorer.
- Yes, that is true but I couldn't of done it without my crew though. It all started when....
- With the aid of an Indian merchant he met in Malindi, he sailed across the Indian ocean and later approached India.
- That merchant we met said this was the correct route but why haven't we seen land.
- Get to work! I do not pay you to slack off. We must complete our mission. Put the ship into full sail.
- But sir you don't pay us at all and half are crew is dead from some sort of disease.

- Vasco and his fleet of ships eventually arrive on the coast of India. During his voyage he carried padrãoes to mark discoveries.
- Finally, land at last. We made it all the way to India all the spices and glory will be ours. Send out the fleet.
- Vasco da Gama's discovery led to trade between India and Europe this opened up an age of imperialism and caused Portugal to establish naval dominance.
