- Colombus and his cremates set off on a voyage over seas to reach Asia. Except that when they arrived they realized that it was not Asia, but the Americas
- Well, we might as well use this mistake to our advantage.
- It appears as though we have arrived in the wrong place.
- So the Colonists established plantations were they would grow crops that were in the Americas and not in Europe.
- The Europeans sent cattle and horses over to the Americas. They were cared for on ranches that the Colonists established.

- The new crops that were grown on the Colonists' plantations were sent to Europe.
- Because of this trading system, both the Colonists and Europeans had a supply of new plants and animals that no one else had before.
