  • Carbon is carried by air to get to plants. A process called photosynthesis is used to carry the carbon to the plants. This is a way of carbon moving from atmosphere to plants.

  • Carbon is moved from plants and animals into the ground through dying or animal droppings. The dead animals soon turn into fossil fuels.
  • Animals release carbon through breathing. Animals breathe in oxygen and then release CO2 when they let their breath go. This is a way of carbon being moved from animals to atmosphere.
