Many factors can affect climate change... Between 1900 and 2009, the average surface temperature of the Earth rose 1.3 degrees.
These rising temperatures have caused ice that has been frozen for a very long time to melt.
The ice that has been melting is flowing into the oceans (Causing the elevation level to rise), but they cannot hold all of the water.
The water that cannot be held by the oceans is flooding (A well-known concept) into cities. The ocean is transmitting water into the cities.
Although the water is flooding cities and could destroy our industry, the lessened amount of ice could recover any specialized materials that could be useful to humankind.
