- Good Morning class! Today we're going to learn about the 5 themes of Geography... on a field trip!
- We are on 6426 North Street. This is an example of an absolute location, because it is an exact spot on Earth and it won't ever change. We are near the supermarket. That is an example of absolute location because it is in a position relative to other places

- We are now in Chinatown. This is an example of a region. Regions are places that share common human or physical characteristics. Chinatown is an example of a human characteristic because everyone here shares the same culture, and culture is a human characteristic

- A place describes a location by physical and human features. What is a physical feature of Houston? What is a human feature of Houston?

- PLACE
- -Focuses on the relationship between the environment and humans. For example, reconstruction. Humans tear down land that animals use for shelter. It's their habitat, but humans destroy it to build more things for themselves, and then the wildlife living there either die or have to relocate
- HUMAN ENVIRONMENT INTERACTION
- There are many examples of movement. Movement can be ideas shared, or people moving to and from place, like immigration, or it can be through social media and the economy. It is how thoughts, ideas, and goods are moved from place to place
