- Daniel and his friends were taken to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar, and were taught about their culture.When they were asked to eat the food from the palace, Daniel refused because it was against the will of God, and asked that he only eat other food. Soon, the men looked more well nourished than the royals themselves.
