  • It is the branch of medicine. It is used to deal with diagnosis and categories of conditions and diseases involving brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nerves

  • There are 2 types of nervous systems. Central nervous system and Peripheral Nervous system. Central nervous consists of brain and spinal cord and Peripheral nervous system consists of nerves.
  • There are 3 types of neurons. Sensory neurons, Motor neurons, and Mixed neurons.

  • Sensory nerves are used to detect and respond to external signals via receptors. Motor nerves is a neuron which is used to project the spinal cord or outside the spinal cord to directly or indirectly control effector organs. Mixed neurons have the same function as sensory neurons and motor neurons.
