- Jamal wakes up on the car floor; Bibi is asleep. A few minutes later, Bibi wakes up, and she asks are we there yet. and Jamal asks when mum is coming, and his dad responded with " I don't know" Their dad drives off the road into an abandon super market.
- Chapters 15-16
- Jamal and Bibi escape and sneaks into the stadium because that's where he thinks his parents are. When the soccer players come out onto the stadium, a tank drives on the stadium. They tied Women onto the goalposts, and one of them was running towards Jamal And Bibi.
- Chapter 17
- They go into a truck, and their dad says they're going to Australia Bibi asks where Australia is. The truck stopped then they got worried because they thought the government was there.
- Chapters 18-19
- They Arrive at a Refugee camp. Jamal's dad makes a tent with his coat and some sticks but there is only enough room for 2 people so he let Bibi and her Mum go in the tent. A boy comes and says would you like to buy some water for 50c. Jamal says no but he wanted to play soccer with the boy and kicks the ball to the boy but then the boy picks it up and runs away.
- Jamal gets lost but finds his way back. He saw police officers and thought they were there to arrest him. he thought somebody saw his dad and called the cops on him. But then he realised that his dad was holding money. his dad gave the money to the police officers so they would be able to make it to Australia
- They board a bus to the airport and when they get there after they go through people was chasing them. When they stopped, they had these weird sword things, and they were holding it up to their bags. When it was Bibi, and Jamal's mums turn, jail realised she had a candle that had metal. When they scanned the bag, nothing went off. When they boarded the plane, Jamal asked his mum about it. And then she said she had to sell the candle.
