- The Marshall plan was made by the U.S. that helped the European countries rebuild themselves after the war and it was suppose to help stop communism.
- Containment Policy
- After the Soviets refused the allies to enter their half of Berlin the U.S. took it into their own hands. they used airlift to get supplies to Berlin.
- Iron Curtain
- After the Berlin incident fear aroused much of western Europe formed a defensive military alliance. this was called NATO so if one of the alliances were attacked they would get assistance
- Truman Doctrine
- the containment policy was about the soviet union to enlarge its communist sphere of influence in eastern Europe china,Korea and Vietnam
- The iron curtain was made by the Soviet union after world war ll to seal off itself and its dependent eastern and central European allies from open contact with the west and other non communist areas
- The Truman doctrine was about an american foreign policy who stated purpose was the counter soviet geopolitical expansion during cold war
