- Robert de La Salle is the explorer I took for my project. He is a explorer that claimed the Mississippi River and the lands around France.
- When did they explore?

- Robert de La Salle were looking for a sea route from France to the Mississippi River. The king liked that plan but said that La Salle had to pay for the journey himself.
- Where are they coming from?
- Robert de La Salle explored in the South region of the United States, the Mississippi River, and the Gulf of Mexico. When he reached the mouth of the Mississippi River, he named it the Mississippi River.
- Why did they become an explorer?

- La Salle explored on 1666, he started exploring because the American Indians told about a great river (the Mississippi River) that flowed south all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.
- La Salle was coming from France and started his mission there.
