- Destroy the Alamo!
- The Alamo is too important!
- We shall fight!!
- Sam Houston ordered the Alamo to be destroyed, but James Bowie and James Neil decided that the Alamo was too important.
- James Bowie and William Travis began to recruit supporters. Santa Anna arrives to San Antonio.
- The Texans moved into the Alamo and for 13 days fought the Mexicans.
- "Remember the Alamo!"
- The Fall of the Alamo occurred on the morning of April 6th, 1836. After 13 days of intermittent fighting the Battle of the Alamo comes to an end.
- 1,8000 Mexican troops fought around 189 Texans. All Texans were killed and approximately 600 Mexican soldiers were killed.
- Instead of discouraging the people of Texas, the loss of the Alamo inspired other Texans to carry on the struggle. Sam Houston's army adopted the battle cry, "Remember the Alamo!"
