The Fall of the Alamo occurred on the morning of April 6th, 1836. After 13 days of intermittent fighting the Battle of the Alamo comes to an end.
1,8000 Mexican troops fought around 189 Texans. All Texans were killed and approximately 600 Mexican soldiers were killed.
Instead of discouraging the people of Texas, the loss of the Alamo inspired other Texans to carry on the struggle. Sam Houston's army adopted the battle cry, "Remember the Alamo!"
