Persians tried escaping but Phedippides ran 26 miles to tell Athenian soldiers to rejoice we conquer then died. They also used the formation of the phalanx to easily win

- The Battle of Thermopylae is a battle that was fought by Athens and Sparta vs Persian. Leonidas and 300 Spartans were led that day and the battle lasted for more than 2 days. The battle was a ferocious battle many soldiers died. Even with many solders Leonidas still lost.

- The Battle of Salamis was a battle that was fought by Athens and Persian. Athens won because even though the Persians had bigger ships the smaller ships that Athens had help out maneuver it and trap it in an area. After the ships were trapped they would attack them
