Humans were created in the image and likeness of God. Each human life is considered sacred. God values the equality of humans and our relationships with one another. God wants us to treat others equally, no matter our gender, race, ethnicity or culture.

TODAY...

Hey everyone, look at this video. It's of a young woman in Pakistan who was hot in the head for speaking out about a girl's right to an education.

Girls in Pakistan and other parts of the world are denied education and therefore are not treated with respect and human dignity. Their thoughts, opinions and ideas are not valued. These societies believe that education will create change. they want keep women dependant on men, not equal.

Oh my gosh, that isn't showing equality or human dignity. All God's creation is valuable and Good.

This is not what God taught us to do. God wanted us to value others and to treat them ethically.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Pakistan, Malala Yousafzai speaks...

"Here I stand, one girl among many. I speak not for myself, but so those without a voice cane heard. Those who have fought for their rights. Their right to live in peace. Their right to be treated with dignity. Their right to equality of opportunity. Their right to an education."

Let us hope that future generations will treat each other with love and compassion.

Let us celebrate the beauty of God's creation.
