- Marco Polo was an explorer who was born in 1254 in Venice Italy. He was best known for being a merchant and explorer. He traveled from Europe to Asia from 1271 to 1295. He died in 1324 back in Venice.
- Anyway the story of my life...
- Marco Polo was an explorer during the Renaissance, things he found while exploring we use today. For example, paper money. It revolutionized finance and commerce in Europe.#160;

- Marco Polo didn't just bring back paper money. He brought some other life changing things as well. He brought back the idea of coal making heat and lenses to make glasses. If he hadn't discovered these things back then who knows if we would've had these simple things in our lives today.#160;
- When he got home there was a war going on and he got captured. While he was in prison he told his story to a fellow inmate who wrote it down and made it into a book for him. Through this book we have his lasting legacy and biography.
